On July 18,
No. 6 Typhoon of this year, In-Fa,
took shape on the Northwest Pacific Ocean.
It landed along the coast of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province on July 25.
In-Fa led to stiff breeze and heavy rain
in East China and other places,
and the National Oceanic Forecast Station released a red wave alarm and
a red storm surge alarm.

Initiate the emergency plan
Hede Shipping, in line with requirements of recent meetings of the Group and the Special Work Plan for Summer Flood Control in 2021, made the objectives, tasks, work priorities and division of responsibilities further clear and cut, and put the group's flood control deployment into strict practice.
On July 19, Hede Shipping launched the flood control emergency plan immediately as per the Emergency Notice on Comprehensive Flood Control and Flood Preparedness in Flood Season issued by the Group, and given typhoon early warning. It executed a 24-hour duty system to attach great importance to the plan and make it workable, thereby putting the protective role of the first line of defense to good use.
Closer monitoring
Daily meteorological monitoring was performed to keep a watchful eye on extreme weather changes. Prior to the formation of In-Fa, its expected moving track was observed, and the notice of work requirements was sent to each ship, in an effort to remind the ship crew to check the drainage system was smooth, the water tightness of doors and windows was intact and the goods were bound firmly. All ships in operation were on full alert, and proper preparations for flood and typhoon prevention were made, to guarantee the safety of goods, boxes and ships.
Scientific response

After departure of the typhoon, the plan for the unsealing of the storage yard, wharf and channel at the destination port was carried out in time, port congestion was confirmed at the earliest possible time, and the berth and operation line were confirmed in advance, so that the typhoon impact time could be hedged through the optimal stopping time in the port, and the overall operation time of the voyage could be under control.
