As the backbone of the shipping sector of Tanggang Group within Hebei Port Group, Tangshan Port Hede Shipping Co., Ltd. is painting a magnificent picture intertwined with domestic and foreign trade routes with solid steps in the vast and magnificent blueprint of the marine economy. It contributes to Hebei's marine development, strengthening its maritime capabilities, and pursuing high-level opening up to the outside world.
Continuous Enhancement of Shipping Capacity
According to Alphaliner's statistics on October 1, Hede Shipping operates 48 container vessels for both domestic and foreign trade, with a deadweight tonnage of 1,079,400 tons and a container capacity of 70,500 TEU. This ranks Hede Shipping 27th in the global ranking of liner companies by shipping capacity. Compared to the beginning of this year, Hede Shipping has increased its fleet by 13 vessels, with a 72.62% increase in deadweight tonnage and a 84.55% increase in container capacity. Consequently, Hede Shipping has risen 11 positions in the global ranking of liner companies by shipping capacity.
Continuous Breakthroughs in Foreign Trade Routes
Actively aligning with major national strategic needs such as the Belt and Road Initiative, Hede Shipping has continuously optimized and increased the frequency of routes to East Asia (Japan and South Korea) and Southeast Asia (Thailand and Vietnam). Leveraging the high-density same-vessel foreign and domestic trade routes from Hebei ports to Shanghai, the company has expanded its reach to the Middle East and India-Pakistan regions. Notably, in March of this year, Hede Shipping commenced trial operations of a route to the West Coast of the United States, achieving a breakthrough for Hebei ports in terms of ocean-going routes. This made Hede Shipping the first Chinese enterprise to launch a point-to-point direct express service to the West Coast of the United States. The Hede Shipping brand has gained widespread recognition in the international market. Currently, Hede Shipping's foreign trade fleet serves countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, India-Pakistan, the Middle East, and the United States, establishing efficient and stable shipping channels for domestic and foreign customers.
Continuous densification of domestic trade shipping routes
In order to better serve the domestic grand circulation and focus on smoothing the major north-south corridors and logistics, Hede Shipping has scientifically optimized its route layout, with a particular emphasis on the flow from Hebei ports to East China and South China. Since the beginning of this year, Hede Shipping has increased the frequency of its Shanghai route from once every five days to once every two days, the Guangzhou route from once every 2.5 days to once or twice every day, and the Ningbo route from once a week to twice a week. These enhancements have made the sea logistics channels more efficient and smooth, further satisfying the needs of hinterland enterprises and earning the trust and praise of a wide range of customers.
Under the strategic guidance of Hebei Port Group and the strong leadership of Tangshan Port Group, Hede Shipping will actively expand container routes connecting the world, accelerate the cultivation of Hebei's core shipping capabilities, and continuously build an international shipping brand to better serve Hebei's exports. We will contribute to the endeavor to write the Hebei chapter of China's modernization drive.
