The foreign trade ship “TANG SHAN GANG JI 1” owned by Tangshan Port Hede Shipping Co., Ltd. had its return to Jingtang Port Area of Tangshan at 18:30 p.m. on August 25, docking at Jintang international container wharf for loading and unloading. 

On account of tough measures of prevention against and control over COVID-19, all domestic ports have been subject to a trade mode separating foreign and domestic trade and putting personnel into closed management. Problems such as manpower in shortage and prolonged operation time are prevailing at the wharf. For the sake of reduced duration at the port, increased scheduled rate of the route and timely delivery of customers' goods, and by way of the communication and mobilization of the colleagues of the Operation Support Department and the Operation Department, the crew of “TANG SHAN GANG JI 1” contributed to the container inspection and unbinding and binding.

With the help of efforts from the customs, the wharf and other relevant departments, the cargo space was placed under timely inspection while various COVID-19 prevention measures were put into strict implementation. The crew's self-organization for container unbinding saved nearly 8 hours of operation time of the wharf.
